Pro společnost Zebra jsem začal pracovat jako specialista technické podpory Level 1 pro zcela novou produktovou řadu. Brzy jsem se stal mentorem týmu a v důsledku toho byl povýšen do seniornější role. Po více než 1,5letém působení na pozici hlavní kontaktní osoby regionu EMEA pro specifické produkty jsem zatoužil více se věnovat obchodní činnosti. Nejprve jsem tedy zastával funkci Business Development Advisora a zodpovídal za využití nových obchodních příležitostí v rámci vztahů se zákazníky i globálními partnery a poté jsem se posunul na obchodní pozici.

Moje první práce v Zebře byla v týmu specializujícím se na administraci smluv. Zhruba po roce se objevilo volné místo v týmu technické podpory Level 1, zkusil jsem štěstí tam a zafungovalo to. Tato práce byla vším, co jsem si jen mohl přát. Po zhruba dvou letech jsem byl připraven posunout se na další úroveň v oblasti technické podpory. Připojit se k týmu Level 2 o pár let později tak bylo pro mne přirozeným krokem. Před 3 lety jsem se stal vedoucím týmu a později manažerem týmu L2. Applications/Systems Engineer

Overview:

Provides technical expertise through product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products. Assists the sales & engineering staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer & partner needs and preparing product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions. Work may be reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy. Follows established processes and directions.

Responsibilities:

• Execute testing validation services and defining testing setup and metrics; designing test cases and procedures; and documenting the testing result
• Increase the automation of tasks and expand test coverage through both new and existing infrastructure
• Write and debug test cases, as well as analyze and review testing results. Testing all aspects of the product/solution/system like function/component, system, performance, regression and service.
• Work with development team to identify and capture test cases, ensure version management
• Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.
• Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people.
• Support the installation and maintenance of company products and ensures that the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications.
• Assists the team in assessing potential applications of company products to satisfy business needs. May build a mini-application based on requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for partners and clients.
• Consult prospective users on product capability and provides product demonstrations.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully multi-task simultaneous ongoing assignments and effort
• Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Receives general instructions on routine work, new projects or assignments.
• Primary intra-organizational with occasional inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters

Qualifications:

Preferred Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent vocational qualification
Preferred Work Experience (years):
• 2-5 years of applicable work experience
• Knowledge of real-time operating system methodology
• Knowledge of network engineering
• Knowledge of the Android Operating System
• Experience with mobile applications and RFID
• Experience with working in an agile, fast-paced environment
• Not afraid to suggest or back big ideas however disruptive they may be
• Excellent knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs)
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills, decision making ability
• Team player with good time-management skills
